CRUST Bikes manufacturing

CRUST Bikes is a bicycle manufacturer that CRUMWORKS handles. On this blog, we have introduced various CRUST Bikes products and the bicycles of people who actually ride them.

This time we will introduce how CRUST Bikes manufactures its products.

The muddy bike above is the origin of CRUST Bikes and is the prototype of their standard model, "EVASION." This is the favorite bike of Matt, the founder of CRUST Bikes.

Matt originally rode bikes made by major manufacturers, but as he became more interested in bicycle touring and began doing dirt touring on unpaved roads, he realized that the existing bikes sold by bicycle manufacturers were not enough for dirt touring. So Matt designed a bike that was sturdy, could fit wide tires, and was easy to ride long distances without getting tired. This was the "EVASION Prototype." We actually took this prototype out for some dirt touring, and the improvements we found were incorporated into the "EVASION V2" that is currently on sale .

Matt and his friends are true adventure cyclists who, whenever they have the time, jump on their bikes to go touring or explore unpaved areas. Their commitment to their bikes is extraordinary, as they travel to remote areas that ordinary cyclists don't go to. After hearing various opinions from his friends during the process of creating "EVASION," Matt decided to create a bike that his friends wanted.

This light blue bike is a model called "Dreamer" owned by Matt's friend Darren Larkin. Darren was heavily involved in the design, production and testing of the EVASION prototype, and it is no exaggeration to say that EVASION would not have been possible without him. The "Dreamer" model is Darren's signature model. It is designed to suit his ideal riding style and is also made by him. The Dreamer is lighter than the EVASION and is better suited for 1-2 day dirt touring with light luggage rather than a full load.

The red fat bike is Matt's friend Goat's signature model, the Scapegoat. Goat, who explores not only unpaved roads but also uncharted territories where there are no roads, wanted the bike to be able to use the same wheels on both the front and rear, to be compatible with wheel diameters from 26" to 29", and to have a standard bottom bracket. The Scapegoat does not use special fat bike specifications but uses standard standards, making it an unprecedentedly versatile fat bike.

One of the unique features of CRUST Bikes is that they have individual signature models such as the "Dreamer" and "Scapegoat," which are proof that CRUST Bikes' bicycles are made possible by the support of founder Matt's friends and colleagues. A product that values connections with friends and colleagues and is for everyone to have fun. That's how CRUST Bikes makes its products.
