CRUST BIKES in Philly Bike Expo

Last updated: August 22, 2019

Hello, this is CRUMBWORKS.

The Philly Bike Expo was held in Philadelphia, USA on October 28th and 29th.

Crust Bikes Fat Chance Bikes J.P. Weigle SimWorks Sinewave Cycles Swift Industries Velo Orange Velocity USA etc.

Many well-known manufacturers of frames, components, bags, etc. will be participating. Above all, our favorite manufacturer, Crust Bikes, is participating this time. It's impossible not to pay attention.

We'd like to introduce some products that caught our eye at CRUMBWORKS.

A very simple and rugged frame. At first glance, it looks like a "Dreamer" because it has a carbon fork, but Apparently it's a titanium model of "Evasion".

Since the frame is blank, it doesn't look like "Evasion", but it still looks cool.

It is not yet decided whether it will be part of the regular lineup or if it will be made available for pre-order. It is also not yet clear whether it will be sold at all.

Tapered head tube and carbon fork. This also looks like a "Dreamer" at first glance. But if you look closely, you'll see that the wheels are 700c.

Yes, this is an all-road frame. Its name is "EPO".

Detailed information has not been released yet, but I am very excited to see it go on sale. The frame. It has a very beautiful appearance.

I would definitely recommend the Allroad to anyone who feels that the rolling of the 650B is not enough.

"Nor'Easter"

This frame was briefly sold as a complete bike on the CRUST website in the past.

It seems that this frame was originally made to commemorate a riding event called "#nutmegnoreaster", and initially only a very small number were produced. This makes it a rare frame that not many people actually ride.

This frame has now been newly redesigned and will be exhibited at the Philly Bike Expo. It used to be a quick release, but I changed it to a front and rear thru axle. The color has also been updated: a raw finish with glitter and pink red.

At first glance, it looks similar to Romancer, but it's actually quite different. The Nor'Easter is a model that can be used with both 27.5 and 29 wheel sizes. Moreover, the tire clearance is very wide, 2.8" for 27.5. 29 (700c) supports up to 55c. That's amazing.

The frames come in four sizes: 52, 55, 58, and 62. Since it is compatible with 29, it seems difficult to make smaller sizes, so it seems they only go up to 52.

"Nor'Easter" is already on sale, priced at around $1200. It is expected to arrive around January.

I'm really looking forward to this.

That's how we got a glimpse of new products at the Philly Bike Expo.

Crust has a strong image of adventure bikes, but considering they have also released titanium frames and all-road models, their product range is expanding, which makes me very excited to see what they will develop in the future.
